This collaboration is special to me for a few reasons, one is, it takes me back to the roots of where (LeVert) me, Gerald & Sean started, with Eddie being Gerald & Seans father we’ve always had a special bond & connection with the O’jays, they weren’t just mentors… but that’s family, so while putting this CD “Dedication” together I thought it would be real special to do a song with them. We recorded this song before Seans passing, It was a great but emotional recording session. It took longer than I expected to finalize the video but overall the shoot went well, It’s a great feeling to take a concept & turn it into a song then bring that song to life in a video especially when it’s with your mentors, The Legendary, Hall of Famed O’Jays… Thank You Eddie, Big Walt & Eric for helping make this concept into a reality… Marc G!
